Boredom inspired update

Here I am, at work, of course. Where else would I be at 11:30 on a Saturday morning?

I'm bored because work is slow. I hate it when it's so slow because there's not much to do and I get tired of just sitting around, especially when I could be doing something else elsewhere. Or even doing nothing elsewhere. Because seriously, doing nothing (AKA, watching TV, playing with my computer, knitting, sleeping) at home is more fun than doing nothing here. And probably more productive.

So, what's been going on in the world of Katina, you ask? Well, I was "home" in the early part of this month. I had a good time and recharged some of my energies, though leaving certainly redrained some. It's so hard to leave. It was really relaxing, which was wonderful, and there was lots of time with Tyler, which was really wonderful. :) My flights were on JetBlue. They were nice, though I was bummed that I didn't get the nifty redeye pack that Tyler got when he came to visit oh so long ago.

Classes have been busy. I'm enjoying them for the most part though I often feel like I'm playing catch up, perpetually. I've this constant fear that I'm forgetting something major and everything is just going to come toppling down like a house of cards.* Much craziness.

Work is work.

Hmm. . people. Well, I'm supposed to be going to a Kenyan-Indian dinner tonight at a friend's place. This should be fun. We'll see how long I last -- I did very well at the last party I went to. My apartment is empty this weekend, both of my roommies are out of town. Not that I'm really home enough to notice, but. . . it is a little quieter.

So yeah. That's my life.

*While this analogy is admittedly overused, I feel that I have a right to use it as I was, in my childhood, a house of cards architect. And let me tell you, those card houses are infuriating!
